Terry Voegele Obituary

Terry Voegele, 67, passed away March 15, 2024 at his apartment in Beulah. Coincidentally, sharing the date of his passing with his mother, three years prior. The two also shared a birthday.

Born on April 24, 1956 in North Dakota to Tena and Ray Voegele. He grew up in Hebron, California, Wyoming, but mainly in Beulah with his mother, brother, Kennie and sister, Connie.

Terry was a true Renaissance man, mastering a plethora of skills throughout his lifetime. Many will recall his signature top hat that he wore for years while delivering mail to Saint Anthony, Solen, Cannon Ball and Fort Yates, North Dakota. A mountain man at heart, he loved the outdoors, riding horse and hunting. Man, could he grow some facial hair! Adorning either a full beard and mustache or very long “handlebars” as his daughters called them. Beyond his rugged exterior lay a heart brimming with creativity and ingenuity. Whether crafting intricate leatherwork or shaping steel with precision, Terry’s hands brought to life a variety of pieces his family will cherish for years to come. Like his mother, he loved treasure hunting…picking up discarded items and finding a purpose or place for them.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Connie. He is survived by his daughters, Sarah (Jon) Kolberg and Tina Voegele; their mother Barb Voegele; grandsons, Preston and Carter Kolberg; his brother, Kennie (Darlene); nephew, Konnor and niece Kassie and countless other family and friends.

A visitation will be held at Barbot Funeral Home on Monday, April 8, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, providing an opportunity for friends and family to gather, reminisce, and celebrate a life well-lived. There will be a light lunch served, following the visitation, at Zion Lutheran Church.

In the tapestry of life, Terry’s thread may have reached its end, but his spirit remains woven into the fabric of our memories.

“May your spirit now be free.”
